PRCA MENA Awards 2021 announces winners

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the world’s largest professional PR body, marked its 5th annual PRCA MENA Awards at its first virtual awards ceremony.

The PRCA Regional Awards celebrate and recognise the best of teams, campaigns and individuals in the PR and communications industry. Staying true to the past 12 months, this year’s awards, sponsored by 3Gem, was hosted virtually over Zoom on 3rd March 2021.

The event saw leading practitioners and campaigners from the industry from across the Middle East and North Africa region presenting their quality of work which was a testament to the event being a huge success.

The awards were judged by the biggest names in the world from the PR, communications and journalism industry. A total of 24 highly commended and winners were announced at the awards night for their excellence of work in different categories.

The night was headlined by Weber Shandwick MENAT taking home the Large Consultancy of the Year Award, The PR Leader of the Year award was won jointly by Matt Slater and Gregg Fray, Seven Media and Bianca Riley, account director at Atteline, was honoured as the Rising Star of the Year.

Francis Ingham MPRCA, director-general, PRCA, said: “The past twelve months have been remarkable -and they’ve seen our industry produce equally remarkable work. The 2021 PRCA MENA awards recognise and celebrate that work, and showcase the positive impact our industry delivers every day. Every finalist tonight has delivered outstanding work. And the winners have delivered the very best that our industry has to offer.”
