Creative agency Plan b group helped organise the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 tournament, held in Dubai.
The tournament saw sixteen beach soccer teams battle it off at a stadium located at Dubai’s Design District(d3), boasting a large and unique sand area.
The organisers aimed to create a memorable experience beyond the conventional beachfront.
They created a stadium with a unique sand area in 25 days, featuring a colossal video screen to broadcast the close-up of the matches, a plush VIP area and a media centre.
Commenting on the event, Jaime Yarza González-the Director of Fifa Tournaments said: “We are very happy with the efforts of the organising committee of the tournament, because they are doing a great job.
“We have seen the organising committees working day and night to ensure that everything is ready on time.
“The UAE’s hosting of this World Cup for the second time makes it the only country in the world other than Brazil to have hosted it more than once,” he added.
A spokesperson from the UAE Football association also commented: “The 12th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai was of an international standard and establishes Dubai and UAE as a footprint for an event of great stature like the FIFA World Cup”
Plan b’s orchestrated a 360-degree social media campaign to deliver key objectives.
The campaign focused on organically boosting ticket sales while upgrading brand visibility for the World Cup.
