OSN+ brings dragons and thrones to the region

As OSN+ awaits the launch of the second season of House of the Dragon, it launched several activations in the region to build up excitement ahead of its official premiere.

First off, it took over the ancient Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt with a light installation.

The light display featured a dramatic face-off between two characters of the show, Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy).

To build further excitement for the upcoming season, OSN+ hosted an exclusive regional screening of the first episode of the second season of House of the Dragon on June 12, 2024, at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray hotel.

The event also unveiled an exact replica of the Iron Throne, an important symbol in the series.

Steve Toussaint, who portrays Lord Corlys Velaryon in the series, made a special appearance, where he shared insights about the upcoming season’s key developments with host Faris Al Raqqad.

Elie Habib, CEO of OSN+ & Anghami: “We were thrilled to bring House of the Dragon Season 2 to our audience with such a grand celebration.

“The light installation above the Pyramid of Djoser was a testament to our commitment to delivering unforgettable entertainment experiences. We look forward to continuing this journey with our subscribers.”

In parallel, OSN+ rolled out digital stunts in key markets across the Middle East as part of the global ‘Raise Your Banners’ campaign.

This included the digital transformation of landmarks such as Elephant Rock in AlUla and a digital takeover of KIPCO tower in Kuwait City, each showcasing allegiance to the different councils vying for the Iron Throne.
