Elon Musk launched a new addition to his platform X, an AI Chatbot called Grok.
Quoting the source of Grok’s knowledge as X, the platform itself, Musk said that AI Chatbot will have the latest information available.
He made the announcement of the new AI Chatbot through a repost on his X account.
In a post by X’s AI-focused account, the platform said that the Chatbot draws inspiration from Douglas Adam’s comedy science fiction franchise, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Campaign Middle East will be hosting its monthly Breakfast Briefing on the Out of Home industry on 10th November at the Grand Plaza Mövenpick, Media City, Dubai. To find out more click here.
It said that the chatbot is intended to answer “almost anything” and it will also have the abilities to “even suggest what questions to ask”.
Stepping away from the other AI chatbots, which have a more mechanical methods of replying to prompts unless prompted, X’s Grok will feature a default humourous tone in its replies.
The post also mentioned that Grok is designed to reply with “a bit of wit and has a rebellious streak”.
It also asks users who don’t prefer a humourous approach to refrain from using the service.

The post also highlighted the unique propositions offered by Grok.
“The unique and fundamental advantage of Grok is that it has real-time knowledge of the world via the ? platform. It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems.”
In another post, Musk highlighted the difference in the responses between two different AI chatbots including Grok.
He begins the post with, “Example of Grok vs typical GPT, where Grok has current information, but other doesn’t”. Followed by a comparison image of both.

However, the AI chatbot is still in early beta and has only been in the works for two months.
For now the bot has only been rolled out to selected users in the USA and will be soon released to a wider audience globally.
