AI vs creative
First up are some sessions on the common debate of the recent years – AI vs Creativity.
Can AI systems ever be creative? Can they be moral? Toby Walsh, Chief Scientist at Australia’s AI Institute, takes a look at some of these questions in his session, Artificial Intelligence In A Human World.
He takes another look at the topic in the session The Future Of Creativity, together with British Author Andy Stanton whose new book was written in collaboration with ChatGPT.
The key to insights
Harvard professor Martin Puchner looks at how art and media influence and change cultures in his session On Culture, From Cave Art To K-Pop.
For a more regional touch, Emirati broadcaster Ibrahim Ustadi will bring humour and insights as he takes a look at Arabic pop culture and current affairs in the Late Show With Ibrahim Ustadi.
Look into the culture of the brand by taking a look at its history. Francesca Cartier Brickell, looks at the history behind the iconic brand in the session Unveiling The Cartier Legacy.
Sharpening the writing skills
This one is for the copywriters or writing enthusiasts. The festival is hosting few sessions where one can sharpen their writing skills.
Alexander Steele, President of New York’s Gotham Writers Workshop and seasoned writing tutor, is conducting a masterclass (A Writer’s Mind) in which he will teach people how to mine the most fertile resource of ideas: the mind.
Bringing out the inner-creative

TikTok will be hosting the very first edition of its Book Awards for the Middle East and North Africa. The event will celebrate regionally popular books, authors and creators. The programme will so see Emirati musical theatre artist Rashed Alnuaimi take to stage to close out the festival.
