David Guetta United At Home DXB
In collaboration with Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and David Guetta, this event was the fourth instalment of the world-renowned DJ’s ‘United at Home’ concept, breaking new ground as the first musician to perform live from the helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel, 200+ meters in the sky. The seamless, multi-angled musical and visual showcase was bought to life by the Create Production team and played out across various owned social media platforms of the contributors, free of charge, on February 6th, 2021.
Using customised camera systems specifically designed for a unique circular purpose-built track around the exposed helipad’s perimeter, as well as industry-leading standards of lasers, LED panels, moving heads, and custom-designed video content displayed on screens to provide an immersive 3D feel, the social broadcast was a unique sensory experience for viewers, particularly with the deployment of FPV drones producing a stunning capture of the sky-high stage. ARRI cinema cameras ensured nothing was missed, including a remarkable firework display.
In the six months since, the main social broadcast has been viewed more than 58 million times and contributed to the raising of more than USD1.6m to fund Unicef’s work with children and Dubai Cares’ campaign ‘Education Uninterrupted’, which is aimed at supporting education and distance learning for children, students and teachers in the aftermath of Covid-19.
