CNBC has expanded its operations in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming the emirate as its regional headquarters and strengthening its ability to deliver business and financial news from the Middle East.

Abu Dhabi will serve as a strategic base for deeper reporting, with content produced for CNBC’s international television, digital and social platforms.

This commitment is further underscored by CNBC’s work in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Media Office to enhance production capacity and nurture media talent in the region. Now based at the Yas Creative Hub, a center for Abu Dhabi’s creative media ecosystem, CNBC aims to further strengthen its integration within the emirate’s growing media landscape.

“Reaffirming our Middle East headquarters in Abu Dhabi while expanding our editorial and production capabilities strengthens our ability to deliver timely, authoritative business and financial news from a region that is playing an increasingly influential role in the global economy, and creates the foundation to develop the talent that will sustain that coverage long term,” said Craig Bengtson, President of CNBC International.

Expanded programming from Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi will remain the production base for the business news program Access Middle East, and as part of its expanded output, CNBC will launch a new feature programme, Managing Middle East, focused on in-depth storytelling around the people, sectors and trends shaping the region’s economic transformation.

Responding to growing audience appetite for accessible, insight-driven coverage of Middle East markets, innovation and entrepreneurship, CNBC will increase the volume of digital-first content produced from the region, including additional regional production within global franchises such as CNBC Explains and Make It.

Creative footprint and talent development

CNBC will also expand its presence in Abu Dhabi’s creative ecosystem and, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Media Office, support the development of regional media talent, including establishing structured programs to build a sustainable pipeline of media professionals in the emirate.

These initiatives, including masterclasses and an ongoing rotational traineeship program, are intended to support long-term newsroom sustainability while contributing to the continued growth of Abu Dhabi’s media and creative industries sector.

The expanded base aims to support real-time reporting and original content creation, strengthening CNBC’s international operations and its ability to deliver authoritative business journalism to audiences worldwide.
