Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2021 — Diksha Chadha, Account Manager, Action Global Communications
Age: 26
Nominated by Euan Megson, Managing Director, Action Global Communications
After learning diligently from Directors during her first few years at the agency, Diksha has really stepped into the limelight over the past 12 months. With a fantastic ability to multi-task and coordinate workflows across various clients at the same time, Diksha continues to progress much faster than the norm and is now consulting clients with strategic maturity well beyond her years. She is old school PR, out and beyond, meeting, networking and always on top of what’s new and trending in her consumer segments.
Bio
After a series of internships in Dubai, London and India with brands including Coca-Cola, Lipsy, Zee TV, Time Out and Closer magazine, I started my full-time career at Action in 2016. In five years, I’ve grown professionally and personally and now lead some of the agency’s largest regional corporate, consumer and hospitality clients. In addition to fostering relationships with media, clients and stakeholders, career highlights include accompanying UFC stars Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev to Abu Dhabi Showdown Week media appearances (fan girl moment), and overseeing an award-winning launch campaign for the Theatre of Digital Art at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
Guiding principles
“Do something that makes you want to jump out of bed every morning”. Work fills a large part of life, so the only way to do great work is to be passionate about what you do. I’m grateful to work with a like-minded team and clients that encourage ideas.
How has Covid changed your job?
While relying on tech to work remotely, we’ve also strengthened communications and teamwork internally through Zoom quiz nights. From F&B to events and entertainment-focused clients, the pandemic has forced us to think disruptively and find solutions for companies operating out of the norm.
Side hustle
2021 is about dedicating time to a healthier lifestyle, including 5:30 am gym sessions – a first for me but it’s fostering a positive start to the day. I’m also attempting to cook more than just eggs at home… I’m the biggest foodie so, thankfully, I’m usually out at new restaurants.
