BBC News Arabic audience up 9 per cent to 35 million per week

BBC News Arabic's linear broadcast channel BBC Arabic TV also saw its viewership rise by 4 million compared to the previous year.

 
The audience of BBC News Arabic has increased by 9 per cent year-on-year, according to the Global Audience Measure (GAM) figures published for 2023/24.
The brand remains the BBC World Service’s second largest service, now reaching 35 million people a week across the Arab-speaking world. The service’s linear broadcast channel, BBC Arabic TV also saw its viewership rise by 4 million compared to 2023.
In a year where the news cycle has been dominated by the Israel-Gaza war, BBC News Arabic has provided a vital service to audiences across the Middle East.
