IMI appoints Mona Elsaka as Chief Brand, Marketing and Communications Officer

IMI, a global privately owned media group headquartered in the UAE, has appointed Mona Elsaka as Chief Brand, Marketing and Communications Officer.

Elsaka is an award-winning global brand and marketing executive with a career spanning some of the world’s most recognised organisations. She held senior leadership roles at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo and most recently Mastercard.

Earlier in her career, she worked in the humanitarian sector with the United Nations, bringing a purpose-driven perspective to her work in the corporate world.

At PepsiCo, Elsaka led the company’s Premier Partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, a globally recognised, multi-award-winning platform that showcased innovation, sustainability and culture on the world stage.

She later joined Mastercard’s global sponsorships and partnerships team, overseeing some of the world’s most iconic properties, including the UEFA Champions League, Formula 1, the Cannes Film Festival, The BRIT Awards, The Open Championship, and major global cultural and entertainment platforms.

Renowned for building and transforming iconic brands, Elsaka is known for driving breakthrough growth, forging culture-shaping partnerships, and connecting business strategy with sports, entertainment, innovation and purpose.

She brings a proven track record of leading world-class international teams, partnering with C-suite leaders and global stakeholders, and delivering impact at scale across markets and industries.

In her role at IMI, Elsaka will oversee the brand, marketing, communications, and creative functions across the group, shaping a unified strategic vision for how IMI and its portfolio of brands are positioned, experienced, and amplified locally and globally.
