OMG MENA promotes Elie Bachaalani to CIO role

Elie Bachaalani will widen his remit to include the Levant, Egypt and North Africa regions. As CIO, Bachaalani will elevate OMG’s investment capabilities, solutions and partnerships to deliver added value for clients.

OMG MENA has announced the promotion of Elie Bachaalani to Chief Investment Officer of OMG MENA, from his current role of Executive Director Investments (GCC).

In his new function, he will widen his  remit to include the rest of the Middle East, namely the Levant, Egypt and North Africa regions. As CIO, Bachaalani will elevate OMG’s investment capabilities, solutions and partnerships to deliver added value for clients.

He will spearhead the transformation of the group’s adoption of the ‘Agency-as-a-Platform’ model from an investment perspective, connecting media, content, and commerce to unlock brand growth for clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Elda Choucair, CEO of OMG MENA, said, “Elie’s tenure in the group is testament to his ability to adapt and lead the investment team through transformative times, leveraging new technologies and innovative solutions. The appointment also comes at a time of spectacular growth from new business for the group with new wins such as Visit Qatar, Etihad Airways and Shamal. This performance will provide Bachaalani with the scope to apply his skillset and experience across a wider portfolio of clients and markets.

Over the past 19 years, Bachaalani has demonstrated relentless dedication and genuine drive for growth, the organisation said in a statement to Campaign Middle East.

Growing through the ranks and working at both OMD and PHD before moving to the holding group, he has actively contributed to the win of prestigious accounts and delivered exceptional value to both existing and new clients.
