TikTok introduces Creative Assistant for businesses

TikTok has launched a new virtual assistant in the form of its TikTok Creative Assistant.

The new Creative Assistant is designed to help businesses and creators in video creation, brainstorming, and  identifying best practices, trends and inspiration.

The TikTok creative assistant is similar to the current AI chatbots which provide informations upon being prompted.

In a Linkedin post, TikTok’s Lead Product Marketing Manager, Creative & AIGC, Michael Fee suggests prompt possibilities of the new feature, “Ask it about TikTok creative best practices, ask for examples of top-performing ads from your industry, ask it to write you a TikTok ad script, ask it to brainstorm TikTok creative ideas for your brand, and more.”

However unlike the chatbots, TikTok’s Creative Assistant draws its information from a “wealth of TikTok-focused creative knowledge”.

How it works

The TikTok Creative Assistant can guide business users new to TikTok about the creative best practices and how to get started.

It can also help people research about the platform’s creative landscape, through showcasing and analysing top-performing ads based on data sources on Creative Center.

The virtual assistant can also help brainstorm TikTok ideas to refine video scripts.

The feature is available to all users who are logged into TikTok Creative Center via their TikTok for Business account.

Features for advertisers

TikTok has recently launched several new features catered towards businesses and advertisers.

While its new Creative Assistant is geared towards the creative portion of content and ad campaigns, it recently also launched more data-focused solutions to complement the technical portion.

Last month, it  launched a new first-party ad solution, called Attribution Analytics, for its business users, which is part of its TikTok Ads Manager.
