Khaled AlShehhi has been named as one of the WARC Jury Chair for 2024.
The WARC Awards for Effectiveness 2024 has announced the names of the 15 jury chairs that will award the best marketing campaigns from around the world.
He will lead the judging process, along with two others, for the Middle East and Africa region to select the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners across 12 categories.
Khaled AlShehhi will oversee the judging for the Channel Integration, Channel Pioneer, Partnerships & Sponsorships, Path to Purchase, Use of Data categories.
On his appointment, AlShehhi said: “This region brims with untold stories and unexplored creativity that can redefine effectiveness in our industry.
“I’m looking forward to honoring campaigns that not only resonate deeply with their audiences but also set new benchmarks for measurable success in our rapidly evolving marketing landscape.”
Carolyne Kendi and Gugu Mthembu will also overlook the region as Jury Chairs alongside AlShehhi.
Kendi, the CMO of Absa Kenya PLC, Kenya will act as Strategic Thinking jury chair.
While Gugu Mthembu, CMO of Telkom, South Africa overlook the Brand Purpose, Business-to-Business, Cultural Impact, Customer Experience, Instant Impact, Long-term Growth categories.
Jury chairs for the other regions are as follow:
Asia-Pacific: Bhaskar Choudhuri, CMO, Lenovo, APAC, Sindhuja Rai, CEO, Wavemaker, APAC and Dean Chadwick, CMO, MYOB, Australia.
Europe: Kevin Mercer, Director, Brand Strategy, Expedia Group, UK, Joost Hoppe, Global Media Lead, Heineken, Global, and Tanja Grubner, Global Marketing Director, Essity GmbH, Global.
Latin America: Daniel Wakswaser, CMO, Ambev, Brazil, Sean Summers, CMO, Mercado Libre, Uruguay, andCarolina Sandoval Villamil, Media Director, Haleon, EMEA & LATAM.
North America: Susan Irving, CMO, Kruger Products Inc., Canada, Yusuf Chuku, EVP, Strategic Planning & Commercial Impact, NBCUniversal, USA, and Dara Treseder, CMO, Autodesk, USA.
All the jury chairs will overlook their their respective region and will work together as a super jury.
They will go on to award the highly sought after Grands Prix, selected from all the regional Golds.
