Aquaman star Jason Momoa is Yas Island’s new Chief Island Officer, an Instagram post by Yas Island revealed today.

Momoa will replace Kevin Hart as the island’s new custodian.

Yas Island’s Instagram post revealed, “Yas Island’s new Chief Island Officer is finally here! Say Aloha to @prideofgypsies and get ready to #LiveItUpLikeMomoa.”

The new teaser shows Momoa paddle boarding across Yas Marina, and enjoying some of the island’s main attractions such as Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, Yas Marina Circuit and Ferrari World.

Momoa shares in the video: “When you discover your calling, when you realise your destiny, and you know your whole life has led to this one ridiculously awesome job. They made me Chief Island officer of Yas Island Abu Dhabi. So now I’m making sure everyone here lives it up like me … Jason Momoa.” And then he shouts out, “I’m gonna love this job!”

Liam Findlay, CEO of Miral Destinations, commented, “As Yas Island Abu Dhabi continues to entertain guests with best-in-class experiences and with offerings that resonate with visitors from all over the world, we look forward to raising the bar even higher in the days to come with Jason Momoa as the island’s newest officer.”

Yas Island had announced earlier that the chosen candidate – if deemed ‘Hart-worthy’ – stands a chance to win a package that includes $100,000 ‘salary’, a luxury hotel stay, exclusive world-class entertainment experiences across Yas Island Abu Dhabi and much more.
