James Drummond, a former Financial Times journalist for the Gulf area, has been appointed as Arabian Gulf Business Insight’s (AGBI) first Editor-in-Chief.

AGBI is a new web platform that covers news, events and issues that shape the region’s economy. Drummond will oversee the future development and growth of the digital resource AGBI.

Drummond joins AGBI alongside a leadership team that worked previously with publishing organisations such as Arabian Business, Gulf Business, The Times, the Financial Times (FT) and the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Drummond said to Campaign, “I am delighted to be the newest member of AGBI’s leadership team. The platform was created to help foster better understanding of the Middle East’s dynamic commercial landscape. Through in-depth reportage and incisive analysis, we aim to provide business owners and decision-makers with the crucial information that they need to successfully navigate the region’s complex marketplaces and take advantage of new opportunities. I’m looking forward to working with this talented team and to helping them make AGBI a vital resource for anyone interested in doing business in this thriving part of the world.”
