Dubai Culture hosts creative forum for creative businesses

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Al Quoz Creative Zone are hosting a conference dedicated to supporting creative businesses and entrepreneurship, Al Quoz Creative Entrepreneurship Forum.

The forum features keynote sessions, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities.

There will also be activations onsite by the likes of LinkedIn Learning, MakeWorks, Zoho, Lets Work, Dubai SME, Dubai Economy, Hayi, Al Wasl Group and Commercial Bank of Dubai.

The forum will also have one on one mentorship sessions to build their creative business, pitching workshops and building company culture sessions.

Also held alongside the forum will be Al Quoz Creative Entrepreneurship Competition which will allow people to pitch their ideas to potential investors and scale their operations. 

The forum aims to accentuate the significance of Dubai’s cultural and creative industries sector, along with the unparalleled investment and developmental prospects it offers.

The Al Quoz Creative Entrepreneurship Competition will feature UAE-based startups in the fields of creative businesses and startups in TV, audio and radio broadcasting, crafts, graphic, industrial, and digital design, fashion, and product design.

It will also feature people from the fields such as  heritage, museums, libraries, archaeology, music, film, content and motion graphics production, performing arts, visual arts, photography, publishing, electronic games, culinary arts and food culture.

Khulood Khoory, Director of the Projects & Events Department at Dubai Culture, stressed the importance of the forum and its role in developing a culture of innovation within the creative community, saying: “Dubai Culture, through the forum, seeks to highlight the importance of the cultural and creative industries and to create a platform that helps entrepreneurs and talent to gain knowledge and learn from international best practices and successful projects, in addition to opening opportunities for them by honing their skills and encouraging them to unleash their creativity.” 

The creative conference will be taking place on 2 and 3 November 2023 at the Alserkal Avenue.
