Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2020 – Bianca Riley, Account director, Atteline
Sophie Simpson, MD and Founder of Atteline: Bianca’s support is invaluable; she helps oversee the company’s business operations, liaises with stakeholders, drives strategic company growth and is accountable for the overall performance of the clients and teams. Bianca has brought in eight business leads, two of which have converted to a paying client of over AED52,000 within the nine months she’s been with Atteline. Bianca is much more than the above; she is a leader and one to watch. Her self-awareness, generosity, approachability, humility and authenticity are emotional qualities that cannot be taught. She is one that leads herself, the team and the company to success.
Beginning my career as an intern with Toh PR, then moving on to global Weber Shandwick and now Atteline, my relentless determination has propelled me from intern to director in six short years. At Atteline, I apply my experience and learnings to offer clients global-standard thinking with a boutique, 1:1 approach.
Some of my accolades include Employee of the Year at Toh PR in 2016 and sweeping the internal Weber Shandwick awards, whereby campaigns I led took 75 per cent of the Gold titles. I was shortlisted in the 2019 Cannes Young Lions Competition.
Kindness. Someone once told me I was “too nice to make it in PR”, and my mom told me not to listen. She was right.
My dream job would be doing what I’m good at in an industry I love. Heading communications for a sustainable company or my favourite sports team (the Toronto Raptors/Toronto Blue Jays) would definitely top the list.
That or be paid to sing, but that one might be a stretch.
I sing and sometimes people pay me to do it! I am a creative at heart, so my side hustle will always reflect that. I’m constantly upskilling and looking to leverage whenever possible; this includes anything from learning the ukulele to perfecting the art of modern calligraphy.
