Campaign’s Creative Faces to Watch 2021 — Reine Jalloul, Digital Art Director, Hashtag Social Media Agency
Nominated by Moey Shawash, Creative Director, Hashtag Social Media Agency
Reine has demonstrated great leadership skill by turning herself into a leader! She’s not your average art director, she’s a great sport. A lovely leader that can create content, come up with great ideas and run a creative operation by herself with high regard and respect from her colleagues.
I describe my professional achievements as multidisciplinary as I completed my Masters in Product and Space in London but began my career in Social Media as a designer at a start-up in Beirut, Lebanon right after graduating. For a few years, I was teaching interior design courses part-time at different Lebanese universities, while working part-time as a digital designer for social media, teaching group workout sessions at local gyms, and illustrating.
My love for Social Media exceeded all the rest and I soon found myself as a creative designer at Socialize in Dubai. After working on content and campaigns for clients such as OSN, Betty Crocker, and Mercedes-Benz as senior designer, I moved to Hashtag to be Art Director for clients such as Centrepoint and Fitness First. With the help of the creative team, we are using our in-house studio to focus on content creation for our diverse set of clients.
‘Comparison kills creativity. There is room for you. Nobody can do it with your voice, with your experience, with your insight.’ – Karen Walrond
How has Covid changed your job?
With the recent global pandemic and lockdown restrictions, social media consumption increased. We now can confirm the importance of social media for every brand, and our clients finally see that.
I’ve been illustrating since I can remember, and in my past time, I create digital illustrations and offer personalized drawings for those looking for unique gift ideas.
