Campaign’s Creative Faces to Watch 2020 – Inaan Budhiraja, Junior strategist, FP7 McCann Dubai

Prabhakar Iyer, strategy director, FP7 McCann Dubai: Inaan joined FP7 McCann in Dubai as an intern with an exceptional academic business background. What he brings to strategy is a commercial viewpoint driven by data, economics and commerce; a rigour rarely seen these days. He has impressed in his thinking and in his personality on brands like Nestle, Honeywell and Emirates NBD. Along with his love for the field, he also brings in a love for design thinking to the strategy department. Plus, he has helped with all the administration, including selfless late nights in winning Effies. And all those reasons make him a face to watch.
I am an entrepreneurial and positive team-player with 18 months of experience. Beyond my day-to-day role in the strategy team, I’ve been part of the core group preparing agency case studies over the past two years for the MENA Effies. Results have followed, with us winning Most Effective Agency of the Year on both occasions. I also won Silver at the Young Lynx Media Competition in 2019, despite having no formal prior media planning experience. Within the team, I love pushing the standards of planning and research, and lead an initiative to educate the agency teams on utilising best-in-class research tools
I’m a firm believer in crafting my own path, and leaving no one behind in times of need – values I’ve gained from my family and managers.
I love bringing people together, and my dream job would be one where I’m an orchestrator for events and forums that bring together like-minded people.
My side-hustle isn’t far from the job I love. My passion for planning and building connections has made me the knowledge manager for the network beyond my day-to-day role. It’s a task entrusted to me by the senior regional management. I have also led organizing FP7 McCann’s strategy leadership conference.
