Kinloch Magowan, Managing Partner, Assembly, has been recognised on Campaign Middle East’s 40 Over 40, which honours leaders who have shaped the regional brand and marketing industry over the past 15 years and more.

This is not a ranking. It is the first edition of an annual platform created to spotlight senior industry figures aged 40 and older. They represent different disciplines and different leadership styles but are all builders of brands and businesses.

These have been recommended as caretakers of client trust and custodians of culture. The 40 over 40 list celebrates the people who have moved the needle – not for a season or for a single campaign cycle, but for several years.

Magowan is one of the Middle East’s most experienced digital marketing leaders, with more than two decades of experience helping agencies and brands navigate periods of growth and transformation. Today, he is a managing partner at Assembly Global, where he has played an instrumental role in the agency’s regional expansion, helping scale the business from 40 employees to more than 400 experts across the region.

Beyond helping secure major regional client wins and driving Assembly’s continued growth, Magowan is equally recognised for his people-first leadership style. Known for being inclusive and approachable, he has helped build high-performing teams across the region, mentoring colleagues at every stage of their careers while fostering a culture that encourages curiosity, accountability and continuous learning. He has helped guide the agency through major industry shifts, including the adoption of AI-driven technologies.

TOP ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS

Magowan has played a pivotal role in guiding Assembly MENA through a major leadership transition while maintaining strong commercial momentum. During this period, he contributed to securing more than $2m in new business revenue, including key regional wins such as RAKBANK, GEMS Education and Humain, while maintaining client retention above 98 per cent. He also strengthened the agency’s capabilities through key hires across performance media, SEO and strategy.
