Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation has appointed Michel El Gemayel as executive director. Michel has dedicated his career to developing arts, cultural and creative destinations, communities, and festivals across the MENA region.
With more than 15 years’ experience, Michel has held senior management roles with a wide range of businesses, from world-renowned cultural institutions and multinationals to challenger brands and festivals. Before joining the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, he lead marketing, communications, audience development and growth initiatives for the Royal Opera House Muscat. He was also instrumental in the development of the Abu Dhabi office of the global brand and customer experience agency, VMLY&R, a WPP company.
“He is responsible for implementing the Foundation’s strategy for high-quality growth and leading all marketing, communications, cultural relations and business development activity, unifying the Foundation’s engagement-related functions to build a customer-centric ecosystem and deliver compelling and multifaceted stories that inspire audiences, partners and the broader community,” said the Foundation in a statement.
