Its intention is to highlight the agencies that were shortlisted for the PR/communications agency of the year award category by a jury of 29 client-side marketers who judged the Campaign Agency of the Year Middle East awards in partnership with Haymarket in the UK and audited by PwC, under MediaSense.
Unlike other awards in the region that are based on the agencies’ work and creative effectiveness, Campaign Middle East’s Agency of the Year Middle East Awards honour those who have raised the bar within the industry in terms of business growth, workplace culture, leadership, as well as diversity and inclusion.
Reviewed by the panel of judges, here are the best PR/communications agencies in the Middle East for 2024:
Gambit Communications
Winners of the Campaign Agency of the Year Middle East’s PR/Communications Agency of the Year and Independent PR Agency of the Year awards, Gambit Communications has had an ‘invincible’ season in 2024. Completing five years of operations, the communications agency retained 100 per cent of their 37 clients and project mandates.
The agency also grew its revenues by 39 per cent through major tender wins including Uber, Deloitte, Omniyat, Western Digital, RAKBank and Essilor Luxottica Group. Gambit Communications also took home the MENA Young Lions gold for the second consecutive year and grew its team by 21 per cent making conquest international and senior hires. It also had a lot to celebrate in 2024 with 22 industry trophy wins.
The jury at the Campaign Agency of the Year Middle East awards commended the agency for its “positive work environment, with policies such as flexible hours, mental health support, and comprehensive benefits.”
Action Global Communications
Action UAE’s 2024 followed a narrative of tragedy followed by growth. Months before the agency started year-long celebrations to mark its 30-year anniversary of operations in the Emirates, it lost its enigmatic founder and chairman, Tony Christodoulou.
Although a sombre note on which to introduce the agency, it provides crucial context for what has been a monumental 12 months for Action Global Communications. Thr agency retained 92 per cent of its clients and added 30 new local and international brands, including four multi-year Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism work streams that contribute upwards of AED 3 mn in gross revenue per annum.
