His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has revealed the new boxing film to promote the 2024 Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition.

The trailer, titled ‘Touching Hands,’ was the product of a partnership between BigTime Creative Shop and critically acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie.

Ritchie is globally renowned for films such as ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels‘ and ‘Snatch‘. The two creatives teamed together with the aim of crafting a thrilling, high-octane cinematic boxing promo video.

Starring Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, Hamzah Sheeraz, Josh Kelly, Liam Smith and a number of other top British boxers set to feature on the card at Wembley Stadium, the professional boxers find themselves in tight spots, battered and bruised, teetering on the edge of defeat as if the final bell is about to toll.

Just as all hope seems lost, they manage to conjure up that fighting spirit in them, spurred on by a rendition of the British sporting anthem ‘Sweet Caroline,’ by Neil Diamond.

BigTime Creative Shop said the juxtaposition of this beautiful ballad with brutal imagery aimed to inject an absurdly uplifting energy, empowering the fighters to rise and conquer their aggressors inside the Riyadh Season boxing ring.

True to Ritchie’s signature style, the film is gritty, dynamic and riveting, with no CGI transitions to distract the viewer. Instead, the short-film format trailer is captured through the lens of a timeless cinematic approach.

The Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition is expected to set a new attendance record for boxing in the UK, with recent approval granted to extend capacity at Wembley to 96,000 after the initial 80,000 allocation sold out.
