The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Middle East office has appointed integrated PR, social, branding, and experiential communications agency, Katch International to showcase the destination to GCC audiences through PR and social media outreach.
The addition of HKTB marks a significant milestone for the agency and represents one of its most prestigious destination partnerships to date. As outbound travel from the GCC continues to grow and travellers increasingly seek immersive cultural experiences and world-class entertainment, Katch will play a key role in showcasing Hong Kong’s unique appeal to a new generation of visitors across the region.
“This is an incredibly exciting addition to our portfolio and a partnership we are immensely proud of,” said Georgie Woollams, Founder and Managing Director at Katch International.
As outbound travel from the region continues to grow, Katch International will be responsible for showcasing Hong Kong to GCC travellers through strategic communications and social storytelling, highlighting the destination’s culture, luxury experiences, family attractions, world-renowned culinary scene and year-round events.
“Hong Kong is one of the world’s most vibrant and dynamic destinations, with an extraordinary ability to blend culture, innovation, entertainment, and heritage into one truly unforgettable visitor experience. Katch has always sought to work with brands and organisations that inspire people and create meaningful connections, and the Hong Kong Tourism Board does exactly that,” she said.
HKTB is a government-subvented body responsible for marketing and promoting Hong Kong as a world-class travel destination while enhancing the visitor experience once travellers arrive.
“Hong Kong has so much to offer and we are looking forward to introducing even more GCC travellers to experience this one of a kind destination,” said Woollams.
Established in its current form in 2001, the Hong Kong Tourism Board works closely with government entities, tourism stakeholders, and industry partners to elevate the country’s position as one of Asia’s leading international cities and one of the world’s most exciting destinations for culture, entertainment, dining, and business.
