Vice Media Group appoints Joseph Aquilina as senior director and head of experiential for MEA

Media company VICE Media Group (VMG) today announced the appointment of Joseph Aquilina as senior director and head of experiential across the MEA region. 

Working out of the Dubai office, Aquilina will serve as part of the global and regional leadership team for VMG. He will be driving growth across VMG’s experiential offering in MEA, leveraging the Group’s unparalleled expertise in reaching and engaging with youth audiences as well as harnessing the company’s unique insights and proven success in the region. In the newly created role, Aquilina will work closely with Virtue – the creative agency powered by VICE – to maximise opportunities across the VMG ecosystem.

Aquilina, who starts his role this month, reports to Erik Lavoie, partner at VMG and chief growth officer at Virtue with a dotted line to Tarek Khalil, managing director of the region for Virtue. 

Aquilina joins VMG from creative experience agency LIGHTBLUE where he worked for over five years, most recently as head of partnerships. Prior to that, he led global commercial partnerships at Red Bull Media House.
