talabat has raised more than AED6m (€1.45m) through in-app contributions, with users helping to donate more than 330,000 meals across eight markets and 41 charity partners supporting several causes in Q3 2025.
The brand has released its first-ever Giving Back Impact Report, highlighting how technology and community engagement can combine to create lasting social good across the MENA region.
Through its Giving Back programme, talabat turns everyday moments into opportunities to give back, allowing customers to support meaningful causes effortlessly within the app.
What matters most is how this reflects customer behaviour: donations grew 6 per cent year-on-year, and the average contribution per user more than doubled (2.4x).
This was not a campaign, it was a community response inside a platform people trust. Every order became an opportunity to support someone in need, proving that when technology meets everyday choices, small actions turn into real impact across the region.
These results also highlight the growing participation of customers and partners in using technology as a force for positive change – from supporting local food banks to funding humanitarian relief in Gaza, where talabat’s contributions have helped sustain World Food Programme (WFP) operations on the ground.

May Youssef, Senior Director of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability at talabat, “Giving back isn’t just a programme for us — it’s part of who we are as a platform and a community. As the region’s leading on-demand app, we are proud to make donating simple, trusted, and accessible to millions of people.”
“The generosity of our users continues to inspire us: together, through both corporate and consumer donations, we raised more than €7m (approximately AED 27.5m) last year. It’s a reminder that technology can drive real social impact when it’s built around people, not just transactions,” Youssef added,
Building on its partnership with WFP, and licensed charity partners across talabat markets, talabat is expanding its Together for Gaza initiative to further support humanitarian relief..
Rami Kridly, CEO of ShareTheMeal, said, “This year, our long-standing partnership with talabat, has aided WFP’s life-saving operation in the most critical ways. All the funds WFP received from talabat this year, be it corporate contributions or customer donations, have gone towards WFP’s emergency relief efforts in Gaza.”
Kridly added, “In particular, funds in 2025 alone have enabled WFP to supply whole wheat bread and fund the operations of bakeries in the Gaza strip. This has helped us deliver the equivalent of 900k meals to families who need it most.”
Giving Back has become a core part of the talabat experience, embedding purpose into the act of ordering and demonstrating that small, everyday actions can create extraordinary impact.
“These donations have been absolutely key to sustaining our operations during the most catastrophic and sensitive times. talabat has supported WFP operations at the moment of highest need in the region”, Kridly said.
With Giving Back at its core, talabat aims to redefine what it means to be a tech company in MENA – where purpose, innovation and community impact move forward together.
