Regional first as five film Lions won

Three silvers and two bronze Lions have been won by the Middle East and North Africa in the film and film craft categories at Cannes. It is the first time that the region has won a Lion in any film category.

Leo Burnett Cairo finally gained some international recognition for its Melody work on the Côte d’Azur last night, winning a film craft silver for ‘Braveheart’ (above) and a film bronze for the body of work that made up ‘The Mother of all Foreign Films’ campaign for Melody Aflam. The work received the film grand prix at this year’s Dubai Lynx.
