MediaCom has expanded its MENA operations into Tunisia with the opening of an office in Tunis.
The operation, which opened this month with 12 staff working across the full range of media and communication services, will also represent MediaCom in Libya. The operation had previously been part of Grey Group.
The office will be led by managing director Imane Stambouli, who has 14 years’ experience in the media industry and previously worked for both UM and Mindshare.
Nick Barron, CEO of MediaCom MENA, said: “Our success over the last few years has been built on our commitment to walking a mile in our clients’ customer and consumer shoes and having local insights to drive the communication process. Essential to this is to have a broad base of local operations, so it is great to have such a strong team in Tunisia and we are looking forward to significant new business growth in the near future to back up our already strong client base.”
The new office brings the total number of MediaCom MENA operations to eight, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Morocco (also manages Algeria) and Lebanon. Barron confirmed plans to open further offices in Kuwait and Iraq in the next few months.
