The Anasala Family, known for their Burj Khalifa gender reveal, secured more than $190,000 in funds to help the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) provide lifesaving winter aid to over 1000 vulnerable refugee families.

Through the largest fundraising challenge launched by Arab YouTubers, the Anasala Family secured more than $190,000 in funds to help the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) provide lifesaving winter aid to over 1000 vulnerable refugee families. Exceeding their target of helping 300 refugee families by more than tripling its results, the challenge aimed at supporting refugees as this year is the hardest yet as refugees face snow, rain and freezing temperatures, as well as brave the impact of Covid-19 which has dramatically affected vulnerable families. The Anasala family are perhaps best known for the Burj Khalifa gender reveal viral video.

Broadcast live on February 14th for nearly four hours, #KeepUsWarm was launched on Anasala’s YouTube channel as the family marked their daughter Mila’s third birthday, and to brave the cold in efforts to raise awareness on the struggles faced by refugees during the harsh winter season.

As of today, the livestream video has secured over 8.9 million views and over 360,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube, placing it as the second most popular livestream with concurrent viewership in the world.

Funds collected will help UNHCR provide vital support including shelter repairs, blankets and heaters, as well as winter survival funds so that families can afford heating, winter clothes, food and medicine for their children.
