Jacobs Media Group brings its multimedia platform and market insights to the Middle East for the first time.

Jacobs Media Group is proud to announce the launch of CONNECTING TRAVEL. This expansion represents the company’s Middle East flagship, drawing on its 50-year heritage in travel and hospitality to fully support the region’s tourism goals.

CONNECTING TRAVEL will provide the region’s industry professionals with thought leadership, meaningful collaborations, breaking news and valued insight via its website, news bulletins, exclusive events and social media platforms.

As the global voice for the travel and hospitality industries, Jacobs Media Group offers an unrivalled multimedia portfolio, designed to inform, inspire and connect these dynamic and evolving sectors.

Through CONNECTING TRAVEL, it will serve and support the local travel and hospitality industries, leading the conversation in the Middle East.

Throughout the pandemic, Jacobs Media Group has demonstrated its strength, facing unprecedented challenges head-on, supporting the travel and hospitality industries in their recovery and emerging from the crisis more robust than ever. Expanding to the Middle East, it has established local headquarters in Dubai, an emirate committed to growing its population by more than two million and increasing its hospitality and tourism space by 134 per cent by 2040.

At the helm of CONNECTING TRAVEL is Jacobs Media Group Chairman and industry leader Clive Jacobs. A renowned entrepreneur and investor, Clive’s businesses have consistently challenged and disrupted established practices. Among other achievements, he’s applauded for building Holiday Autos into the world’s largest leisure car rental broker before its sale to lastminute.com PLC.

Joining Clive, commercial director Paula Lacey brings unparalleled industry knowledge and proven senior marketing, strategy and management success from terms at multiple major listed travel companies, including TUI Group, the world’s largest leisure, travel and tourism enterprise. Editorial director Sarah Hedley Hymers previously ran digital content at Condé Nast Traveller Middle East before going on to broadcast to more than 14 million viewers as a Middle East travel and hospitality expert for international television channel Euronews.

CONNECTING TRAVEL’s sister title Travel Weekly is Jacobs Media Group’s flagship brand in the UK. With more than 80 per cent of the market share, it’s the UK’s leading travel and hospitality trade title with unparalleled access to travel agents and tour operators, for whom it produces multiple publications and hosts industry events in 26 countries across five continents.

Other publications and platforms under the Jacobs Media Group umbrella include The Caterer, Travolution, Aspire, Connections, ATAS (Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers) and the Global Travel & Tourism Resilience Council, focused on growing sustainable tourism. Compelling commercial opportunities spanning the complete portfolio are now available.
