HAVAS Middle East has appointed Dejan Kutnjak as Global Account Director for Emirates, strengthening its global leadership team even as the agency continues to build a more integrated, data-led and future-facing model for one of the world’s most iconic airline brands.

In his new role, Kutnjak will lead the global Emirates account across more than 70 markets, working closely with the central team in Dubai and HAVAS’ local market teams around the world.

His remit will focus on driving strategic consistency, strengthening planning governance, improving cross-market collaboration, and ensuring media investment is connected to clear business and brand outcomes.

Houda Tohme, CEO, HAVAS Media Middle East, said, “Emirates demands excellence across more than 70 markets. Dejan has spent two decades honing the skills this requires, bridging strategy, data, and technology to drive real business outcomes. His appointment signals our ambition to lead global brands from the region with the integrated thinking and senior talent they deserve. We’re delighted to have him on board.”

Kutnjak brings nearly two decades of experience across global and regional media leadership roles, having worked across EMEA, APAC and global markets.

His career has spanned some of the world’s most recognised brands, including P&G, Dell, Uber, adidas, Heineken and Red Bull.

Across these roles, he has developed deep expertise in client leadership, omnichannel media strategy, digital transformation and operating model design.

His work has consistently focused on helping brands move from campaign-based planning towards more connected, always-on systems that use data, technology and measurement to drive better business outcomes.

Commenting on his appointment, Kutnjak said: “Emirates is one of the world’s most recognised brands, so the opportunity to lead the account globally from Dubai was a role I was very keen to take on. The airline category is evolving rapidly and our role is to help Emirates navigate that through strong planning, better use of data and closer collaboration across markets. My focus will be on building clear strategic direction, simplifying ways of working and ensuring our media approach continues to support both brand and business growth.”
