FP7/BAH, OMD and Leo Burnett Beirut were the main winners during the first night of awards at this year’s MENA Cristals in Lebanon.
At the Intercontinental Mzaar last night, a total of 33 Cristals were awarded in the promo/direct, cyber, media and production categories.
FP7/BAH walked off with a total of 11 Cristals – nine of which were for client Batelco, including the grand Cristal in the cyber category for its body of work for the Bahraini telco. The cyber grand Cristal was awarded for Europe, as well as the MENA region. OMD was named media agency of the year, landing a total of seven awards and the media grand Cristal for its ‘Touch of ads’ campaign for Hewlett Packard.
Leo Burnett Beirut bagged a total of six awards, primarily for its longstanding client Exotica. The haul included the promo and direct grand Cristal for its ‘Make a move’ campaign, as well as a Cristal for the agency’s ‘Every bottle tells a story’ work for Chateau Ksara.
The winners of the daily press, magazine, print craft and outdoor categories will be announced tonight.
