Faris Sibai has announced his departure from his role as the Chief Growth Officer at Mindshare MENA.
In his Linkedin post, dated 28 August 2023, he mentions that September would be his last month in Dubai, after spending more than 17 years in the city.
He shares his gratitude towards his agency whom he has spent seven years with.
“I am leaving Mindshare MENA, a place that I have called home for the past 7 years, during which I have had the chance to travel and work across the world and have had so many wonderful and meaningful engagements & experiences with our Purple People in every market, while making some lifelong friends along the way.
Mindshare really is the place where you do the greatest work of your career, and I’m eternally grateful to all the Purple People, both past and present, that have been part of my journey.”
In the post, he also shares his experience in the regional industry over the years, “I’ve also been privileged to work alongside some of the most inspirational and transformative brands both regionally and globally and have witnessed first-hand how they have taken over and led on a global stage! During that time, I worked and learnt from the greatest talent and leadership this industry has to offer, and I count myself as blessed. Thank you.”
While Sibai is set to leave the region and Mindshare MENA, he will remain with GroupM, according to the post.
Sibai will be taking on a new role in APAC, presumably with Group M. His new role will be based in Shanghai.
He also mentions that he will reveal more details soon. “I remain with the Group M family as I leave the region to take on a new role in APAC, based in Shanghai (more on this soon).”
Sibai was appointed as the Chief Growth Officer of Mindshare MENA last year, before which he held the roles of Partner and Client Leadership for six years.
