Etisalat by e& and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) have joined forces to launch a digital gaming platform, Arena Esports.
Arena Esport, a 360-degree gaming platform, will cater to all types of players, from beginners to seasoned professionals.
Players will be able to participate in tournaments, earn monthly points, access events, engage with community servers and have interactions with gaming influencers through the platform.
Access to the platform seems to be granted through signing up for a free membership.
The platform will also offer subscription plans for “premium benefits”.
The partnership between both parties is aimed at reshaping the Esports landscape in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The initiative is geared toward promoting Esports leagues in the region, nurture emerging gaming talent and elevate local events to international gaming benchmarks.
According to DCT Abu Dhabi, The venture, focused in the UAE, aims to establish and oversee Arena Esports leagues and associated tournaments over the next five years.
