In just 12 months the branding and digital design agency now have offices in London, Dubai, Johannesburg & Cape Town.

The creative duo set up Epic Lion having worked together for 2 years prior on both global and local projects to build brands with heart and create an emotional connection between the brand & consumer. It wasn’t long before their reputation saw them hand-selected on multiple projects, highlights being from three of the most influential companies in Bahrain: Tamkeen, Amakin (formerly BCPC) and tijara.
The current D&AD judge Ramzi Moutran says “I was born in Bahrain and am incredibly proud to be giving back to a place I consider a second home. In the first quarter of 2021 Epic Lion launched tijara– the digital banking platform of Bahrain built to empower and grow start-ups & SME’s. Creating everything from the brand positioning, strategy, and brand identity right through to the purpose, website and communication strategy, Epic Lion saw an opportunity to disrupt the old-fashioned business banking model to one that listens and understands the industries pain-points. Drawing from their core belief and hate for adverts the team were determined to create a real brand speaking to real people in a true, authentic, and honest way.
In the second quarter of 2021 Epic Lion continued with the rebrand and launch for Amakin: Beyond Parking – formerly Bahrain Car Park Company. Celebrating their 40th anniversary and being well-known for its reliability & heritage in the region, Epic Lion was tasked with pivoting BCPC from a traditional bricks & mortar company to a brand that is far more customer centric. Soon into the company audit, the team realised they needed to do more than just a rebrand, they needed to rename the entire company! Today Amakin provides a seamless parking experience with a vision for the next 5 years that delivers on the present and prepares the brand for the future. The new rebrand is currently shortlisted in the 2022 Transform Awards MEA with the awards event being held end of May.
At the end of 2021 Epic Lion were chosen as the trusted agency to partner with Tamkeen – the growth and prosperity agency of Bahrain, to support the brand evolution set to nurture enterprises & individuals to ensure they reach their full potential. Transitioning from the labour fund for Bahrain into the enable of prosperity, Epic Lion worked closely with the senior leadership team on the brand strategy and tonality, identity development and the UX and UI to ensure the new positioning would secure Bahrain’s future economic growth in the Kingdom and beyond the shores. Epic Lion have since continued to be the creative consultancy and strategic partners ensuring a smooth transition for the national agency.
