Charlotte Tilbury enters motorsports with F1 partnership

Charlotte Tilbury signed up with the F1 Academy 2024 as its official partner. The partnership is the beauty brand’s “first-ever”global sports sponsorship.

Charlotte Tilbury will also be the first beauty brand and the first female-founded brand to become a sponsor of F1 Academy.

The F1 Academy is a new project from Formula 1 to develop and prepare female drivers to progress to higher levels of competition.

The partnership aims to bring the shared purpose of Charlotte Tilbury and F1 Academy to “empower everyone, everywhere to feel their most confident”.

Charlotte Tilbury, founder of the beauty brand said: “My brand was created for everyone, everywhere, and as a female-founder, I’m thrilled that we’re the first ever beauty brand to support these powerhouse drivers through our partnership with the F1 Academy.

According to the stats shared by the beauty brand, 40 per cent of F1 fans are female. It also said that the demographic contributed to a total 2022 season viewership of over 1.5 billion.

“Motorsport has a huge female following, and the drivers of F1 Academy are already increasing representation and diversity in the sport,” adds Tilbury.

“With this partnership, we will use our global platform to elevate this new generation of fearless young female drivers, and open up the traditionally male-dominated world of motorsport to even more talented young women.”

The brand also created a Charlotte Tilbury-branded F1 car called the ‘Charlotte Tilbury operated by Rodin Motorsport’ car.

The livery, helmet, and racing suit all feature Charlotte Tilbury branding in the brand’s signature night crimson and rose gold colours, its iconic Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips icon and Tilbury’s empowerment mantra ‘Makeup Your Destiny!’.

The Charlotte Tilbury car will be driven by 18 year old French driver Lola Lovinfosse, who has been racing since 2018.

Throughout the academy season, Charlotte Tilbury will raise awareness of the fifteen inspiring young drivers, aged between 16 and 25. 

The academy will conduct races that will take place across seven cities including the Middle Eastern cities, Jeddah, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
