Botim begins its ultra app journey with a rebranding

By Jalaja Ramanunni

Botim has launched two rebranding videos to showcase its ultra app experience.

Astra Tech, the holding company for consumer technology in the MENA region, acquired Botim in January this year. The holding company has rebranded Botim into an ‘ultra’ app.

Following a complete revamp, Botim launched two films today to highlight its rebranding as well as its new capabilities, UI design, and additional services.

The rebranding was done to align with Botim’s new tagline, ‘Simplify every day’ and to reflect the new app’s ability to provide seamless convenience.

These films aim to inform and entertain existing and future users about the added convenience they can expect from the app.

Consumers face an ‘app fatigue’ today – a state of burnout that people experience due to the growing number of mobile apps. While there is an app for everything, users are getting choosy about which apps they keep on their smartphones.

An ultra app is the next generation of super apps. Earlier this month, Astra Tech launched a new ultra app version of Botim.

While the older version of Botim was limited to chat without VPN for free, the ultra app combines a wide range of services, including chat, money transfers, bill payments, telemedicine, tutoring, home services, various stores, and government services – such as renewals of Emirates IDs and travel visas – on a single user interface to give a comprehensive digital experience.
