Boutique production agency Boot Polissh Films has expanded into the Middle East with an office in Dubai.
The new operation is to be run by Tej Desai, who was previously interactive and engagement director at Lowe MENA, with the agency to work on films, documentaries, commercials and video content for digital.
Established in Mumbai in 2011 by Ashit Ghelani and Shujaat Saudagar, the agency is seeking to grow its business across different markets, with Ghelani, Saudagar and Desai equal stakeholders in the Dubai operation.
“Our endeavour will be to fuse traditional storytelling with cutting edge technology on all platforms,” said Desai, managing partner and executive producer. “But as great as the latest technique can ever get, it’s nothing without a thorough understanding of how to dramatise a story in a way that moves the audience. Our ambition will be to become the region’s top production service company that leverages advertising and marketing knowledge with filmmaking expertise to help brand communications stand out.”
Saudagar, partner and director, added: “”With Tej being digitally minded, we aim to create and produce integrated digital campaigns, TV commercials, documentaries, transmedia projects, interactive installations and visual identities. Even when our work is inherently diverse, it will be unified by our love for good stories, design, film and advertising.”
