Cryptocurrency exchange platform Binance has announced a collaboration with Formula 1 team driver BWT Alpine Pierre Gasly.

Catering to both crypto and F1 fans, the cryptocurrency exchange has launched a design contest.

As part of the contest, people will be able to submit designs for Gasly’s helmet which he will be wearing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The race will be taking place on the 26th of November.

Winner would be picked on the basis how well the designs cater to reflect the cryptocurrency exchange’s values as well as align with the campaign objectives.

The campaign was created together with the objective of building and strengthening connections with the motorsports community.

“Our strategic partnerships with Pierre Gasly and the BWT Alpine F1 Team reflect our commitment to bridging the gap between the cryptocurrency world and the sports industry to drive further adoption and innovation.

“By leveraging the power of our deep blockchain and Web3 expertise, we aim to create unique experiences and opportunities for fans to engage with their favorite sports teams and athletes in unique ways to not only educate people on the potential of Web3 but also entertain,” said Rachel Conlan, VP of Global Marketing at Binance.

The competition will be open to all existing and new Binance users as well as F1 users.

The collaboration follows the cryptocurrency exchange and Formula one team’s initial partnership announcement in February 2022.

As part of the partnership,  Binance created a Alpine F1 Team Fan Token (ALPINE) that would be available to the interested through through various channels.

Binance has also previously collaborated with athletes such as Cristiano Ronaldo and sports organisations such as Brazil’s football league, Brasileirão Assaí; the Italian football club S.S. Lazio; Ukrainian football team FC Shakhtar and others.
