Atlantis calls creative review

UAE resort Atlantis, The Palm is understood to have called a review of its creative advertising account.

The move follows an earlier review of the resort’s public relations business, which was put out to pitch in January and won by Four Communications. Dubai-based boutique agency d’PR had held the business for the previous two years.

It is not yet known how many agencies have been invited to pitch, and Atlantis, The Palm was unavailable for comment. The resort is situated on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, and is a joint venture between Kerzner International Limited and Istithmar. It opened in September 2008. The resort’s official launch included a performance by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue and a spectacular firework display that lasted 15 minutes but cost an estimated $16 million.

Team Saatchi was appointed by Atlantis in 2008 to handle its multi-market integrated launch campaign. It positioned the resort as a “must do” experience destination appealing to people of all ages without compromise.
