Interesting Times has appointed Mahmoud Shaban as Managing Director for KSA.
Shaban has over 14 years of experience in leading multinational branding, advertising & media agencies.
On the consultancy side, he has led entire operations at Lambie-Nairn, Y&R, Publicis Graphics, and ZenithOptimedia.
For the corporate side, he has engaged in strategic Brand & Marcom planning roles. One notable example was the rebranding of STC, which led to its becoming one of the most valuable brands in the region in 2017.
Right before joining Interesting Times, he was entrusted with managing one of the largest communications agencies in Saudi Arabia: Fullstop.
As Managing Director, he led the business transformation process, established a unique culture, and fostered a highly productive environment, thereby optimising efficiency and increasing revenue.
Having experience of building, managing and evolving brands through all stages, across all disciplines, and in a variety of industries, Shaban will establish complete on-ground operations and diversify Interesting Times’ portfolio in KSA.
He is entirely focused on strengthening the agency’s presence and foothold within the Saudi market.
Growing from a boutique agency to a wider network competing on a multi-national level, the consultancy has positioned itself as one of the region’s leading agencies.
A key factor in the rapid growth of the agency is its ability to enter new markets, and progressively position itself in those markets by understanding their culture, business ethics, and demands in terms of strategy, creativity, and managerial practices.
Although Interesting Times had previously been present in the KSA market, the agency has been sharpening its focus on Saudi Arabia since 2019.
Last year with a growing portfolio of projects, and a growing team of creatives, account executives, and strategists dedicated to the Saudi market, the next step was to establish specialised and localised leadership.
