Qatargas has changed its name to QatarEnergy LNG.
The parent company QatarEnergy said, the rebranding underscores a future vision for the country’s liquefied natural gas industry.
It comes as part of the increasing international recognition of Qatar’s role in meeting the world’s growing need for energy, particularly natural gas – the cleanest of all fossil fuels.
Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the president and CEO of QatarEnergy, said the name change is a historic evolution that is reshaping the country’s energy industry.
