Etihad Airways has released a snippet of its 360-degree film starring Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline released the 60-second ‘Reimagine’ trailer featuring the Oscar-winning actress reciting a monologue aboard an Airbus A380.
She says: “Once in Edinburgh I will connect with the Falcon in the lobby of the Opera House. The soprano will sing her arias. The silver case will be dropped. You will text code name paper plane.”
Marking the first time a Hollywood actor has starred in a virtual reality film, the campaign continues Etihad’s focus on luxury by showing Kidman seated in ‘The Residence’ – the airline’s private three-room suite.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad’s chief commercial officer, said: “The VR film is the latest example of our ongoing commitment to adopting cutting-edge digital technologies to reimagine the way we engage with our guests.”
The concept is the work of Cheil Worldwide, with input from its digital agency The Barbarian Group.
Kidman was named the airline’s ambassador last year.
