WhatsApp has unveiled a new way for users to arrange events within communities, simplifying the process of planning gatherings like PTA meetings or birthday dinners directly on the platform.
Members can now respond to admin announcements, helping to maintain group connectivity easier.
Anyone can make an event in a group, and people can RSVP. It’ll be visible on the group’s page, and attendees will get reminders when it’s near. This feature starts with community groups and will roll out to all groups over the coming months.
Whatsapp is also allowing members of announcement groups to reply, enabling admins to gather feedback while maintaining the group’s simplicity for catching up on community news.
Replies will be organised for easy viewing, so members can see others’ comments in context.
