TBWA\Raad has rolled out the launch campaign for the upcoming opening of the Royal Opera House Muscat.

The integrated campaign includes three TV commercials, print, online and radio executions, with the TV spots directed by Tracey Rowe through production company City Films.

The Royal Opera House Muscat is set to open on 14 October with Franco Zeffirelli’s production of Puccini’s Turandot, conducted by Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo. The opening performances are already sold out. The following shows include Andrea Bocelli,  the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, and a performance of Bizet’s Carmen,  procuded by Oscar-winning set designer Gianni Quaranta.

The venue is the leading arts and culture organisation within Oman, with a mission to become a centre of excellence in global cultural engagement.

  • It is a real pity that despite there being a very successful TBWA\ office in Muscat with a good creative reputation, the regional head office decided to take this forward without their involvement. The Opera House is a jewel in the crown of Oman and it is sad that the local agency wasn’t able to be part of it. Sadly, I suspect this is a common occurrence.
