Microsoft has appointed Publicis Groupe as its global media partner, moving the account away from Dentsu.
The account has been with Dentsu for more than a decade, first having won the account in 2014 and continuing since. The appointment, as reported by Campaign UK, follows a closed process, and Dentsu will continue to handle the media account for Microsoft-owned Xbox.
Social media platform LinkedIn, also owned by the software company, migrated to Publicis last year.
The software company joins a list of major companies that have moved their global media business to the French-owned network in 2025. These included Paramount and Mars, as well as Coca-Cola in North America.
Dentsu, Microsoft and Publicis declined to comment, as per Campaign UK.
