Merkle appoints new Managing Director

Merkle has announced the appointment of Andreas Skopal as its Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa region.

Merkle is global network Dentsu’s data and technology-based customer experience management company.

Skopal has more than 20 years of experience in customer experience, marketing, technology, and strategy across the MENA and APAC regions. Out of which, he has worked for more than 10 years with renowned organisations such PWC and EY.

Skopal, most recently, served as Partner and Global Head of Innovation, Growth, and Digital at Synpulse.

He has also held senior executive positions in major financial institutions in the MENA region, overseeing digital and marketing divisions.

In his new role, Skopal will be responsible for supporting brands in their customer experience transformation and assisting them in decisions that affect them regionally and internationally.

Skopal said, “My focus at Merkle will be to bring together our depth in strategic and creative thinking, technical expertise and commercial execution, to help organsations deliver meaningful customer value.”

He will lead the team across Riyadh, Dubai, Cairo, and Beirut to build and strengthen both new and existing client relationships, while allowing better teamwork between Dentsu’s customer experience management, media, and creative arms.

On his joining, Skopal also said, “I am extremely excited to be joining a company like Merkle at a time when brands in the region are accelerating their focus on achieving a distinct competitive advantage through building experiences that truly deliver on their brand promise.”
