Mehdi Moutakil moves up the ladder at L’Oréal

Chief Digital and Marketing Officer of L’Oréal, Mehdi Moutakil, has moved onto a new role to take up the mantle as the General Manager for the L’Oréal Professional Products Division in the Middle East.

In his LinkedIn post, Moutakil announced that he was closing his chapter as the Chief Digital and Marketing Officer of L’Oréal.

The second Campaign Saudi Briefing event of the year will be taking place in Riyadh on 12th October 2023. A variety of panels and speakers will be discussing the themes of media and marketing. For more details, click here. 

“Today, I’m closing one of the most beautiful chapters of my career as CDMO for L’Oréal Middle East,” he said.

Moutakil held the position to head up its digital and marketing department for four years.

He also highlights his eventful and rich journey during his tenure as the CDMO in the social media post.

He said, “A collective adventure of four years rich in emotions and actions: one pandemic, eighty expert roles created/scoped/staffed, hundreds of people upskilled, thousands of transformations, millions of consumers engaged and endless opportunities captured for the most loved beauty brands in the world.”

He extends his gratitude and appreciation towards his team, his leaders and the brand’s partners in UAE and KSA.

Finally, his announces his new position in the post and extends gratitude towards his new team.

In the post, he said, “Happy to announce that I have been appointed as General Manager for the L’Oréal Professional Products Division in the Middle East. Thank you Tiago Carvalho for the opportunity and my PPD team for the warm welcoming!”

Moutakil has been a part of the industry for more than 16 years and has previously worked with brands such as Orange, Nivea, Eucerin, Labello, L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline, Kérastase, Vichy, Kiehl’s and Lancôme in the MENA region.

Moutakil has also previously been a speaker at Campaign’s Breakfast Briefing events. He was a guest speaker on a panel at the Ramadan Advertising and the year ahead for Media and Marketing event, this year.
