Lucy Stone, 38, died suddenly in the UK

Lucy Stone, drive-time DJ on UAE radio station Dance 97.8, has died.

Dance’s parent company Shock Middle East said is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Lucy Stone late last week in the UK.

Stone, aged 38, joined Shock Middle East in March 2017 as the Dance 97.8 weekend presenter. In February 2018 she took over the drive show to become one of the stations leading presenters and authority on dance music in the UAE. Lucy Stone’s laughter and love of music will be dearly missed by her loyal listeners and those who worked with her, said Shock.

Cameron Plant, Group MD of Shock Middle East, said: “Lucy was an instrumental member of the Shock Middle East family and we are deeply saddened to hear of her passing. We will miss her energy, dedication and her commitment to radio. Lucy was very popular amongst her peers and she will be deeply missed by her friends and family. We kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of her family during this difficult time.”
