Sharma brings more than 16 years of experience across sales and marketing within the luxury and hospitality to Crowne Plaza Muscat. Crowne Plaza Muscat Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre has appointed Chandan Sharma as its new Director of Sales & Marketing, as the property looks to sharpen its commercial strategy and strengthen its market positioning.
Chandan brings more than 16 years of experience across sales, marketing and commercial leadership within the luxury and upper-upscale hospitality sector. His career spans senior roles with global hotel groups including Shangri-La Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, Marriott International (Sheraton) and The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, where he led multi-market sales strategies across rooms, MICE, catering and integrated marketing functions.
Over the course of his career, Chandan has built a reputation for driving consistent revenue growth, exceeding budget targets and leading high-performing commercial teams. His experience also includes overseeing large-scale events and high-level government delegations, as well as contributing to initiatives recognised at the South Asia Travel Awards (SATA) and a Guinness World Record–certified event.
In his new role, Chandan will oversee the Crowne Plaza Muscat sales and marketing strategy, with a focus on strengthening key partnerships, growing MICE and corporate segments, and expanding the property’s footprint across domestic and international markets.
He holds an MBA in Marketing and is known for his collaborative leadership style, commercial acumen and results-driven approach.
